Metal sign installation

4 quick steps from box to wall.

What's in the box

  • Your steel sign
  • 4 screws
  • 4 metal sleeves, for a floating look

Wall plugs are not included.

You'll need

  • A pencil and a level
  • A drill or a screwdriver
  • For drywall, brick, concrete or stucco: a drill bit and 4 wall plugs

1. Hold it up

  1. Place the sign on the wall where you want it.
  2. For a large sign, ask someone to hold it.

2. Level and mark

  1. Straighten the sign with a level.
  2. Mark through each hole with a pencil.

Important: Every design has its holes in a different place, so always mark from the sign itself.

3. Prepare the wall

  • Wood or a wooden fence: nothing to do, the screws go straight in.
  • Drywall, brick, concrete or stucco: drill a hole at each mark and push in a wall plug.

4. Screw it on

  1. Line the holes up with your marks.
  2. Drive a screw through each hole.

Flat: the screw goes straight through the sign into the wall.

Floating: slide a metal sleeve onto each screw, between the sign and the wall. The sign stands off the wall and casts a shadow.

Important: Snug is enough. There is no need to overtighten.
